About Michael DeRosa

An accomplished agent with a lifelong connection to real estate and development, Michael DeRosa has sold hundreds of properties throughout Manhattan since entering the real estate business in the 1990’s.

Michael’s family business, DeRosa Builders, has been actively involved in the development, construction, and management of single-family homes, townhomes, and residential apartment buildings in the suburban New York area for over 50 years. Growing up, real estate was a part of daily life for Michael, as he was exposed to conversations about the industry from a very young age. His exposure soon developed into a passion, which motivated his professional pursuits.

Utilizing his market expertise, Michael has maintained success in the industry despite the changing economic and political tides of the last 30 years. From the post 9/11 economy to the recent pandemic, he has consistently helped his clients weather the storm and achieve their goals.

Michael’s business philosophy incorporates what he calls a “3 steps ahead” approach. His expertise allows him to anticipate a variety of circumstances, from potential challenges for negotiations to burgeoning market trends, all while thoughtfully counseling clients through each step of the transaction process. Always strategy- and results- driven, Michael works tirelessly to ensure buyers and sellers alike get the best value for their investments.

When he is not working, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife and two adult sons. His hobbies include maintaining his beloved 1972 corvette, exploring New York City, and photography, as well as alpine skiing and a variety of outdoor activities.
